SMS Module

Feature 1: New Report Added- Whatsapp SMS Detail

We are pleased to introduce a new SMS report titled "Whatsapp SMS Detail" in the system. (see image below).

The report will list the names of all students of the selected class or classes to whom the message has been sent on WhatsApp.

Advantages to school:
  • Schools can monitor and verify WhatsApp messages sent to students, ensuring effective communication.
  • Helps administrators confirm that important updates, reminders, and notifications reach parents and students on time.
  • Provides a clear record of sent messages, reducing communication gaps and ensuring no student is missed.

Feature 2:SMS Enhancement for Fee Defaulters

Use Case:

Previously, when schools sent defaulter messages to students, SMS notifications were also sent to parents, even for minimal outstanding amounts such as ₹10 or ₹20.

Enhancement:
  • A 'Amount' field has been added under the Fee Defaulter category in the Send SMS form.
  • Schools can now specify a minimum outstanding amount in this field.
  • Only students with a due amount greater than or equal to the entered value will be displayed in the list for sending SMS.
  • Students with a due amount less than the specified value will not appear in the SMS recipient list.
Reason for Change:

This enhancement ensures that defaulter messages are not sent for minor outstanding amounts, reducing unnecessary notifications to parents.

Impact:
  • Provides greater control over defaulter notifications.
  • Reduces unnecessary SMS alerts for minimal outstanding amounts.

Feature 3: Birthday Filter in SMS Module

We have introduced a "Birthday" checkbox in the Send SMS section to streamline birthday greetings for students and staff.

New Functionality:
  • A "Birthday" checkbox has been added in SMS → Send SMS → Birthday Template.
  • When selected, only students and staff whose birthdays fall on the selected date will appear in the recipient list.
  • This enhancement ensures that birthday messages are sent accurately without manually filtering recipients.

Front Office Module

Feature 1: Gate Pass Number Field Added

We have enhanced the Student Gate Pass page by adding a new field: Gate Pass No.

Key Updates:
  • The Gate Pass No. field is automatically populated with a series number starting from 1 when the first gate pass is created.
  • This helps the admin track the total number of gate passes generated so far.
  • The Student Gate Pass page is part of the Front Office Management module, ensuring better record-keeping and organization.

This enhancement improves efficiency and tracking in managing student gate passes. 🚪📋
